Public Notice: Invitation to Comment

FORCE has submitted an application to Transport Canada’s Navigation Protection Program for scientific monitoring equipment as part of the Ocean Sensor Innovation Platforms (OSIP) project.

OSIP is a collaborative research project with Acadia University, Ocean Tracking Network, the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq and other partners designed to improve how we monitor fish and marine life in high-flow tidal environments like Minas Passage. The project will test and compare tools such as cameras, acoustic sensors, and fish-tracking equipment to help build a clearer picture of how marine life moves through the area.

This work supports FORCE’s broader role in advancing tidal energy responsibly – by strengthening the science, improving environmental monitoring, and supporting regulators, researchers, Rights Holders, industry, and communities to make informed decisions about tidal energy.
