On Friday July 31, 2020 FORCE is deploying the FAST-1 subsea sensor platform in Grand Passage for approximately 35 days. The Kipawo – a 65 x 18 steel self-propelled barge operated by Huntley’s Sub- Aqua Construction – will be used for the deployment.

The purpose of this work is to accumulate high-precision turbulence data while also collecting data on the speed of the water current. FORCE and Dalhousie University will be working together to analyze the resulting turbulence data.
